Who joins the club? Is there a profile of a typical member?

Speaking of a typical member, these are often people who already hike in the mountains and have at least some minimal experience. However, this is not a mandatory requirement. What is important, first of all, is that there are no medical contraindications, that the person possesses at least some physical conditioning, and has the minimum necessary gear to participate in the simplest trips. Accordingly, the members who meet these criteria usually already have experience participating in mountain treks and climbs.

To develop a safe, highly technical, and accessible mountain tourism culture in the Central Asian region. Tenir-Too serves as an expert platform that bridges high-altitude adventure with field innovation, training the next generation of mountaineers and evaluating advanced outdoor equipment in the harshest environments of the Tien Shan and Alai ranges.

What competitions has the club participated in since its foundation?

Our club has participated in a variety of competitions—city-wide, republican, and international. 
These include both sports distance competitions and competitive mountain expeditions. We have secured various placements; in some, we took winning spots, and in others, we finished very close to them. Nonetheless, every competition provided us with valuable experience, helping us improve both the expeditions themselves and our overall outdoor and technical skills.

Are there victories or results that you are particularly proud of?

We have many different and interesting achievements, but first and foremost, I want to be proud of the fact that we continue to grow and develop our processes regarding preparation, training, and executing the expeditions themselves. We are adapting better and better to our realities. 
And I believe this is the main thing we can truly be proud of.

What types of sports activities does the club plan to develop in the future?

We will most likely grow in those branches of sports tourism that are of greatest interest to our club members. Quite possibly, this will include other forms of sports tourism, such as bicycle touring, hiking, or perhaps water-based tourism in some areas. But, of course, everything will depend on the people who are ready to take on responsibility—those who are willing not only to lead trips but also to head separate branches of sports tourism within our club.

Who stood at the origins of the club with you? Who are they, and what role did they play in the creation of Tenir-Too?

As I mentioned earlier, the club was established in 2021 with the participation of people who were actively hiking and possessed significant experience in mountain tourism. There were about 30 individuals with varying levels of experience and technical training. Nine of them became the founders of our public association. They are Yuri Balashov, Sergey Petroshenko, Sergey Komarov, Ryskul Zhumaliev, Olga Davlenbaeva, Eliza Abykeeva, Denis Subbotin, Olga Tairova, and myself, Adilet Zhumaev. We stepped forward as the founders, and what is most remarkable is that all the founders remain active club members to this day, continuing to make a meaningful contribution to the club's development. Additionally, as I noted, around 30 people were involved from the very start as regular members. From that point on, we gradually began to expand.
